No need to restore this Yamaha dual sport! It's in beautiful condition. . .always kept inside by the previous owner and myself. . .runs/drives/shifts like it should. . .6 gear transmission. . .vintage 2 stroke. . .never down; perfectly straight. Starts on 1st kick. . .everything working as it should...5400 mis showing.The bike was just serviced by a professional motorcycle mechanic (an elderly man/business owner, familiar with these old bikes), after, it had been parked for some years: carb cleaned/adusted; new gaskets; new transmission fluid; new high octane gasoline; chain adjusted/lubed; all electrical checked out (working correctly), and new tires and tubes. Title in hand. . .it's been on a Non Op status since 2001. The Pursuit of Yamaha-ness – A Message from Yamaha’s CEO
Thu, 10 Jan 2013Yamaha must “pursue true Yamaha-ness and break out of our old norms” if it hopes to increase profitability, says Hiroyuki Yanagi, the company’s president and chief executive officer. In an open letter released by Yamaha, Yanagi discussed what his company needed to do in order to reach its goal of producing 12 million units this year and collecting 2 trillion yen (US$22.5 billion) in sales. Yanagi’s message offered little in specific details but provided a glimpse of Yamaha’s overall strategy for the next few years.
46,061 Motorcycles Stolen in US in 2012
Mon, 25 Nov 2013An average of 126 motorcycles were stolen in the U.S. every day in 2012, according to a report released by the the National Insurance Crime Bureau. That’s from a total of 46,061 motorcycles reported stolen that year a 1.3% improvement from the 46,667 motorcycles reported stolen in 2011.
