Yamaha Other description

I have a 1974 Yamaha 250 Enduro for sale Found it in a shed along time ago. Was going to restore it but don't have the time. This is a great project for a dirt bike enthusiast. I don't have a title the last time it was registered was in 1998 so I think it's safe to say it would be easy to register.Tire tread is like new but side walls are cracked from siting. Needs work to get it back on the road. Give me a call or text me at $400.00 obo it's a vintage classic. Fun to ride!

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

For just $120,000, you too can be the owner of a special piece of motorcycling history. Up for grabs on eBay is the 1973 Yamaha TZ750 that started it all. Claimed by the current owner to be the test mule of none other than Kel Carruthers in 1973, this TZ carries the number #409-100001. Yamaha Works GP rider Sadeo Asami cared for the motorcycle for much of its racing life until it was returned to Yamaha USA where it was destined for the crusher.

Spotted the link to this short film on a Dutch blog. It's beautifully shot/directed and captures GP rider Mike Duff's recovery from a horrific hip and pelvis injury suffered at the Japanese GP which cost him a six month stay in hospital. Watching him push-start makes you wince just imagining the pain he must have been in.
