Yamaha Other description

Hi, this bike is an all original, properly stored vintage bike. If you had one when you were a kid, these were a blast! This bike as shown in pictures was properly stored and ridden as a street bike, not a dirt bike. Look at the pics of the spokes and spoke nipples, the plating is still like new. All the chrome is awesome. The exhaust pipe has no dents or rust. The seat has no rips, the handlebars are as straight as an arrow and original. The tires are even original and in great shape, the original Yokohamas ( see pics) This bike also has the original factory option turn signals!! and Side mirror. There is no corrosion anywhere. This is not a pieced together bike as you normally see on Ebay! It runs like a top as it should. The only negative of this bike is it has a knee dent in the right side of the tank. I have an NOS tank that can be purchased seperately if somebody wanted to make perfect. Check out my feedback and bid with confidence. I am a collector, not a bike dealer, I have a clear title to this bike, thinning the heard. $250 paypal deposit required, balance in cash or certified funds. I will gladly help with shipping arrangements. Feel free to email with any questions. Thanks for looking.

Yamaha to Produce PES1 and PED1 Electric Motorcycles by 2016

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

Yamaha announced plans to release the production versions of its PES1 and PED1 concept models within two years as part of the company’s plans to enter the electric motorcycle segment. The PES1 and PED1 (which stands for “Passion, Electric, Street” and “Passion, Electric, Dirt”) concepts were first revealed at last November’s Tokyo Motor Show. In the company’s newly-published annual report, Yamaha confirmed plans to produce the two models, saying: “In sports motorcycles, we are working to create new value with EV sports motorcycles, which we aim to launch in two years, with the development of the small, on-road sports PES1, as well as the PED1, which are being developed to expand the scope of electric vehicles to the off-road world.

The perfect classified advert

Fri, 21 Jun 2013

Forget “One careful owner, low mileage, full service history” – when it comes to penning classifieds we can all learn from Kyle Miller and Joe Strachila who’ve plundered their marketing genius to come up with the best scooter advert we’ve ever seen. The pair, from Seattle, became an internet sensation last year when they created a hyperbole-packed ad for $700-worth of frankly rubbish 1995 Pontiac Grand-Am. Now they’ve pulled the same trick to get rid of a Y2K Yamaha SH50 (the comically-named ‘Razz’), advertising it on Cragslist as “the fulfilment of your wildest fantasies”.

New Photos and Video of Yamaha PES1 Electric Concept

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Yamaha has released additional images and a video of its new PES1 electric motorcycle for the concept’s debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. The new photographs, shot at Yamaha’s display at the Tokyo show, show more details about the PES1 concept, which Yamaha first announced earlier this month. The PES1 shares the same electric DC brushless motor, lithium-ion battery and monocoque frame as the PED1 concept which also took its bow in Tokyo.
