This 1969 Yamaha YL1 Twinjet is a barn find. I have not touched anything on the bike other than hose it down. It has good compression and the transmission shifts through all 4 gears. It has a clear title and was last Registered in 1975 in New Jersey. All original. Missing key and left side cover. Bike could use either a full restore or just repair what is needed to run again (great patina) . Would also make a great Cafe Racer project. http://motonut.com/VanTechTwinJet.htm. The bike does have rust, but not bad for its age. Tank is very clean on inside. Right side of tank is dented. Carbs may need cleaning. Original tires are bad. The seat cover is good but foam is bad and seat pan needs repaired . The pics show the condition of this bike pretty well on what it is. Yamaha, Honda Donate to Thailand Flood Relief Efforts
Thu, 20 Oct 2011Honda and Yamaha announced relief aid for the people of Thailand affected by severe flooding that has swamped large parts of the country since late July. Yamaha and its Thai subsidiaries are donating a relief package worth about 30 million yen (US$390,000) including 3,000 life jackets. Yamaha is evaluating what items to provide including outboard motors.

Tue, 28 Sep 2010There is no question that the BSB paddock has been split over the radical new points scoring system introduced for 2010. That said, no one can argue that the formula hasn't worked as we are in for the most exciting season end at the Oulton Park triple header on the 9th/10th of October. There may only be six riders in the final shoot out but there are at least another six that can win races, ultimately spoiling the party for the championship hopefuls.

Wed, 08 Sep 2010We ran a couple of stories last week - both, coincidentally, about new Kawasakis. One was the first peek of the new ZX10R – hot stuff you’d imagine – the other, the new W800 retro parallel twin. I suppose it shouldn’t have shocked us, which story was most popular in terms of hits but it really does mark a seismic shifts in British biking attitudes that the W800 story doubled the hits of the ZX10 piece.
