Yamaha Other description

1962 Yamaha Yd3

Classic unrestored condition. Motorcycle has small scratches and wear marks but the paint is still very nice. 250cc class engine with lots of power. Very small oil drip from drain screw. Starts on the second kick every time.(Pre-mix Oil) All the mechanical parts (clutch, brakes, engine, carb....) are in great running order. This is a daily running motorcycle. Electrical (lights high and low, turn signals, neutral light, gage site) all work. The electric start works after you ride for five minutes this is due to a small battery. Has original tool set. 5967 miles on the motorcycle. You can look up the engine number and frame number on line. Old owner mistaken a 3 for an 8 on the engine number, so DMV dated the motorcycle as 1964 on title. EZ change to make. Take look at the pictures and judge for yourself. This motorcycle is 51 years old and runs as good or better than any new motorcycle. Also if you have a 1962 YD3 let me know. Not many around.

engine number: D5-36412

Frame number: Y13-36412

2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP Review – First Ride

Wed, 28 Aug 2024

Better suspension and Track mode brings us so close to an R9 Photos by Dave Schelske As the tail rider in a train of approximately seven identical Yamahas, I couldn’t help but watch in awe as each of us weaved our way through the notorious Tail of the Dragon, bending the bike underneath us to our will through the 120-something corners, the unison of the dance mesmerizing as each of us took our turn, one by one, around each apex, at irresponsible speeds, front wheels inches away from the person in front of us. This is the kind of trust you build up after you’ve ridden with the same group of people for years on end. We all know that riding with your friends is fun.
