Yamaha LT2 description

Up for sale is a thoroughly and methodically refurbished 1972 Yamaha LT2 with 2992 miles. Bike was completely disassembled and each part inspected, cleaned, polished and/or painted. Engine inspected, bored 2 over with new Wiseco piston and rings. This an excellent running bike that shifts through all the gears. Engine starts easily...pull out the choke, and it fires up on first or second kick. Here are some specifics on the rebuild. - Frame and frame components were stripped. Two coats metal etching primer, 2 coats gloss black epoxy paint, 2 coats 2K clearcoat. - New Duro tires. - Front and rear fenders, headlight, and fork headlight mounting brackets stripped, primed with 2 coats etching primer, painted with 2 coats base color and two clear coats. - Oil tank and gas tank stripped, primed, repainted with three coats one-stage color coat and new decals. - Headlights, turn signals, and brake lights all working. New rear turn signal lenses. Could not get the horn to work...not sure why. - Engine work included new plugs, new clutch plates, right crankcase gasket, new exhaust gasket, fresh crankcase oil. Engine cylinder jug painted with black hi-temp engine paint. Side covers painted with hi-temp silver engine paint. - Autolube system working well. Original tank paint in excellent condition. A couple of small chips on right side tank decal. No dents or dings on tank. - Wheel bearings and brake shoes inspected and in good condition. - No rips or tears in seat upholstery - Original Mikuni carb overhauled. - New gas and oil lines - New fork seals - New grips and foot peg rubber pads - New battery - Chrome in excellent condition - Clean California title in my name and all California DMV fees paid The winning bidder will have to pick up the bike at my home in La Quinta, CA. Of course, I will work with your shipping company for out of area sales. All shipping costs paid by the buyer. Contact me with your questions.
