Running barn find. Fresh oil change, new spark plug and battery. Bike runs like a top. Starts in a few kicks and shifts through all gears with no issues. I weigh 215lbs and speedo showed 45mph!! Typical condition as you'd expect from a bike that's been sitting. Used and abused. Tires cracked but hold air. No broken switches. Original Yamaha key for ignition and matching seat lock. Original Yamaha handlebar protector. Gas tank has been red sealed. (Before I got the bike) Rumored to have a fairly new top end job and bottom end was gone through. 2,700 original miles!! NO TITLE!! FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013
Tue, 19 Feb 2013The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
Frog eBike – the Electric Successor to 1985 Frog FZ750 Concept
Tue, 03 Apr 2012San Francisco-based Frog Design released images of a new electric motorcycle concept, just as its influential Yamaha FZ750-based Rana concept gets enshrined at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frog designer Jin Soek Hwang prepared the Frog eBike concept as an expression of how electric motor technology can influence motorcycle design. In a post on Frog’s blog, the designer says he was inspired in part by Frog’s 1985 FZ750 Rana concept (pictured after the jump).
