Yamaha FZ description
For Sale: 2009 Yamaha FZ6R. This bike is a one-owner, low mileage, accessorized, exceptional deal! My wife bought this bike, and it was her baby. She had a lowering kit, frame sliders, and Scorpio alarm alarm professionally installed at a local bike shop. The lowering kit has at least 2 positions. She chose to put it at the lowest setting, which is approx 1.5" less than the standard seat height. She is 5'5" and was able to have her feet flat on the ground while astride the bike. We installed flush LED signal lamps, custom FZ6R grips, and a comfort seat. A Pitbull stand and Tourmaster Cortech tailbag and saddlebags can be thrown in with the deal if you are interested. The bike has always been garage kept. It has only been driven in the rain once, for about ten minutes when a thunderstorm caught us. My wife maintained this bike meticulously in accordance with the owner's manual. She has already cleaned and lubed the chain twice, and we had the oil changed during 1 of the trips to the shop for the addition of accessories. It has not been ridden in 2 years. I have periodically started it, until the battery went dead 6 months ago. I drained the fuel every 3 mnths, even though I put Sta-bil in the gas to prevent gumming up the works. I installed a new battery just prior to listing it on eBay. Defects: The bike has fallen over twice. The 1st time, my wife did not have the kickstand down all the way, and the bike fell over on the left side when she was dismounting. We did not have frame sliders installed at the time. As a result, the factory turn signal was damaged, the ball at the end of the clutch lever was roughed up, and the crankcase cover was scratched through the powder coating. The scratch itself is approx 1 in in length. We replaced the turn signals with a flush mount LED kit, as mentioned above. We had the clutch adjustment checked at a shop just to be sure it had not been damaged. The 2nd time, she was paddling the bike in position to run up on a trailer and the bike fell over on the right side. The frame slider we installed took all the damage. It is abraded slightly on the lower edge. The bike has since been ridden a few hundred miles with no ill effects. There are 2 small abrasions in the paint on the right side of the tank, near the seat. They may have occurred due to something on my wife's pant legs on 1 of her sets of riding clothes. There is adhesive residue on either side of the front fairings. She removed the factory stickers for some custom graphics. When she took those off, there was some adhesive left behind. We have not tried anything harsh or drastic to remove the residue. The size of each area is approx 6" x 3". We are selling the bike because she has been away at school for a couple of years, and we probably won't have a chance to ride for a couple of more years while she finishes and goes on to a new career. PLEASE do NOT contact me with messages containing lowball offers, or any activities that violate eBay policies. I have priced the bike competitively for the make, model, year, and condition it is in. If I'm not honest with eBay, would you trust me to be honest with you?
