 UP for sale
87-88 FZR 750. No title for the frame as its listed track bike/parts only.
I almost have this ready to run, but it needs some finishing touches. I am running short on money and am seeing if anyone is interested in this bike.

weisco high compression pistons
carillo rods
falicon worked crank/polished
back cut 6spd trans
PRO FLOW ported head
megacycle cams
RD valve springs w/CroMo retainers
stock carbs
37mm FCR flatslides also

Also a spare 750 complete engine.
Not much needed to get it running. Mostly some wiring for on/off, oil cooler install, neutral/oil light, needs clutch mastercyl rebuild, brakes bled, muffler hanger, body work mounted and safety wired if you choose. Most everything is drilled already. The flatslides are off the bike and stock carbs installed.

stock shock with adjustments and ride height
stock reat sets
17" rear wheel conversion
underslung rear brake with braided line
Brand new sealed battery
Brand new 16-47 520 conversion chain and sprockets (rivet masterlink!)

I have taken this all the way down as you can somewhat see in the pics. New headstock bearings, cleaning, painting etc. Trying to do this right as I wanted to keep this thing.
Any questions please ask.
If it doesnt sell it will be parted.
THanks!

Check my feedback and bid with confidence.

Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009

Thu, 26 Feb 2009

With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.

What Has James Stewart Been Up To? [video]

Wed, 15 Dec 2010

The last time we checked up on James Stewart, he wasn’t having a good year. First, there was the season-ending injury in the second round of the 2010 AMA Supercross campaign, an ill-advised comeback at the Unadilla National, and then a much-panned open letter after getting left off Team USA for the Motocross of Nations. In all, Stewart took part in just three races in 2010.

Suzuka Eight Hour capers

Mon, 05 Sep 2011

Chatting to TT legend John McGuiness recently about his first Suzuka Eight Hour experience got me thinking of a few capers the boys and me managed a few years back at what is still Japan's most important race of the season. It is a unique event that starts at 11am and finishes at 7pm making  it a pukka endurance race as the last hour is run with headlights on in the dark. It is essentially an eight hour sprint that showcases the trickest endurance machinery and manufacturer’s sales can be affected the following year depending on who wins or loses.
