2011 Yamaha Fz-6r Orange/black One Owner Bike Mint Condition Low Miles on 2040-motos
Yamaha FZ description
44 crystal ave Derry Cycle is selling a 2011 Yamaha FZ6R (Model # FZ6RAO) in Reddish Copper and Black with only 1,002 mis on the odometer. The FZ6R is what's called a Sport/Street bike, meaning that it's a sport motorcycle that has been designed to be more comfortable than a full on race bike like a GSXR, CBR, ZX-6R, or R6. The engine is however out of the previous generation Yamaha R6 and it's been reworked by Yamaha so that you can have fun and get great power out of the engine without having to bounce it off the rev-limiter in every gear. The FZ6-R is a newer design that just came out a few years ago and has been extremely popular since its introduction. Yamaha designed this bike to outperform and "out-comfort" the Suzuki SV650 and Kawasaki Ninja 650R, and they really did what they set out to do. This is a great bike that has excellent styling, excellent performance, and a reasonable price tag. This particular FZ6R has fantastic ownership history. We sold the bike brand new here at the dealership to its only owner. He had all of the Yamaha reccomended service done here at the shop, and it was under warrranty the entire time he owned it. The bike is completely stock and unmolested, except for a color matched set of handlebar ends. If you went out and spent $8,000 on a brand new 1 and rode it for a month or so, you would have exactly the same bike we are showing here, you'd just have a lot less money in your pocket. So if you've been scouting out a new one, but would like to save some money and get a great color combination that's not offered anymore by Yamaha, you should really make some time to come over and check out this bike. There's literally nothing anywhere on the bike that would disappoint you! The service department has gone through every major and minor system on the bike as required by their 153 point comprehensive inspection process, and she passed with flying colors. We work with nine different credit unions to offer financing, and we are accepting trade ins toward the purchase of this bike. Please email or call Ken @ with any questions you have. We also purchase Harleys, Sportbikes, and ATV's for CA$H.www.derrycycle.com to see more photos of this bike, and look at all of our bikesThank you

Mystic Mac's 2014 MotoGP predictions
Thu, 06 Feb 2014There is no real off season in Moto GP. Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all. This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery. We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential. Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon. And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package. Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle. Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general. Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.
US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
