EICMA 2013: Yamaha Reveals the Tricity

Today, at the EICMA 2013 show, Yamaha unveiled what it is calling a new direction in its urban commuter category. The Tricity is a LMW (Leaning Multi Wheel) scooter aimed at folks who previously may not have considered a two-wheeled alternatives to public transportation. Josh Hayes To Wear RS Taichi In 2014

Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha rider Josh Hayes will be sporting a new look this upcoming racing season. The three-time AMA Pro Racing SuperBike Champion will be protected by RS Taichi racing leathers and gloves while aboard his Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike. After a long-standing relationship with Teknic, his previous protective gear provider who ceased operation last year, Josh had an opportunity to go in a new direction.

2015 Yamaha XC155 Scooter Gets CARB Approval

The Honda PCX150 may be getting some new competition, as  the California Air Resource Board granted an executive order certifying the 155cc Yamaha XC155 scooter. Available in Asian markets last August under the names Majesty S and SMax. Sporting a fuel-injected 155cc liquid-cooled four-valve Single, the XC155 inherits the styling of larger Yamaha scooters including the 395cc Majesty that was part of the company’s U.S.
