Yamaha FZ description

2006 Yamaha FZ6. Clean title. Engine runs well. Regular oil changes Shell Rotella T6. Both chain and sprockets were replaced this past May 2016 as was the rear rotor and all pads (brake fluid too). Fix the broken piece in the picture (needs some welding), the broken footpeg and a leaky valve stem in the rear tire (pulled my chain that I lock the bike with it against it) and you have yourself a working bike with probably many more thousands of miles left in it. (It starts and runs fine!)

I personally have driven this motorcycle from NYC to California and back to NYC again and its an amazing bike. I use it as most people use a car and ride all year long. Front tire still has tons of life left and other than the valve stem the rear still has enough life on it to get you going for awhile. Both were replaced at the same time last winter and both are Michelin Pilot Road 4s. I took care of the mechanics on the bike and while I stopped caring about it looking pretty (plastics) everything else I took good care of .

I also have a spare gas tank in my closest that I will give for free if wanted. Its used but in very good shape and the right color/year. I was going to swap it when I got around to replacing the plastics/front fairings to new (or better).

Please ask any questions you may have before bidding and I will answer as quickly as possible.

"That's one small step for man..."

Fri, 02 Oct 2009

TO CELEBRATE the 40th anniversary of man's first steps on the moon, Fiat Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo will wear an astronaut-style paint job on his helmet at this weekend's Portuguese GP. The Spaniard's lid has been sprayed to look a little like a spaceman's helmet and has Neil Armstrong's immortal words: "That's one small step for man; one giant leap for mankind" written on the rear. Let's just hope Lorenzo doesn't launch himself this weekend.

The Super Ténéré ES is a new range-topping version.

WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report

Tue, 03 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
