Yamaha FZ description
I'm selling my 06 FZ1 with 32k miles in very good condition.
Second owner purchased the bike with only 8k miles, and was my daily commuter. Battery is only one year old, tires only have 2000miles, oil and filter just changed Bike has premium Yamaha gel seats + passenger back rest, throttle lock bar ends, Aprapovic (very nice sounding) slip on, K&N high performance air filter, and after market brake/shift levers and tinted windscreen. Shes in very good condition with all maintenance done at scheduled intervals (ie. chain lubed and adjusted every 500miles, oil and filter every 4k miles, new plugs at 20k miles). Rides and shift smooth and fast! Bike has never been down - layed or forced. Clean title in hand - test drive with cash in hand and valid motorcycle license. Bike comes with a nice sun/rain cover. |

Mackenzie Tricker Looks To Pad WMX Points Lead At Glen Helen Raceway Sunday
Thu, 10 Apr 2014Having won the opening two rounds of the 2014 Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) – at the AMA sanctioned Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, and at the James Stewart Freestone Spring Championship in Wortham, Texas, Australia’s Mackenzie Tricker comes into this weekend’s race at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, with momentum on her side and a 17-point lead in the series standings. Round three of the Women’s Motocross Championship (WMX) will run in conjunction with the FMF California Classic, which runs from April 9 through April 13, with both WMX motos taking place on Sunday. So far, Tricker has won three of the four motos held to date, and the Yamaha-backed rider is hoping to pad her lead in the series standings with a good finish this weekend.
Mythbusters to Compare Emissions of Cars Versus Motorcycles
Wed, 21 Sep 2011Are motorcycles more environmentally friendly than cars? Ask most people that question and their initial response would probably be “yes” because motorcycles are more fuel efficient, and they release less CO2. But is that the whole story? MythBusters‘ Jamie Hynerman and Adam Savage are going to find out on the Emmy-nominated show’s fall season premiere, Sept.
Back in the day, the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba
Fri, 24 Jun 2011This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
