Yamaha FZ description

I have a silver 2005 Yamaha FZ6 with only 13k miles. This is a great sporty looking bike that has a more comfortable standard riding position. The engine has plenty of top end but is tuned for comfortable cruising on back roads. Good bike for starters to grow into or for experienced riders to unlock the bike's full potential. Can be used as a fuel saving commuter during the week and carve up the twisties on the weekend.

Kept indoors, never wrecked or raced. It has a few upgrades, including:

Fender eliminator kit
Puig double bubble windscreen
Carbon fiber look frame sliders
Custom pinstriping on wheels and tank
FZ1 grips
Shad Top case (removable) with integrated backrest for passenger (your wife/gf will thank you!)

The Japanese oddity to naming teams

Wed, 28 Jul 2010

Whenever the calendar shifts to a major Japanese race, such as the Suzuka 8hr, one of the more amusing things to do is glance down the team sheet This years highlight for me has to be team Moto Bum, with other stand outs including aprilia D.D.BOYS, Team Etching Factory Yamaha and MITO MOTO & e'freaks Honda. Looking back through the ages some of the great Japanese team names have been Burning Blood Racing Team, Dog Fight Racing and Team Moto Space amongst others. Ladies and gentlemen, the 2014 MotoGP season has officially begun, as bikes have started circulating around the Qatar circuit. This season has been filled with drama as Honda and Yamaha continue to fight for top honors. Meanwhile, Ducati has switched to the new Open rules, Aleix Espargaro has been lightning quick in testing, and what’s with these new Factory 2 rules?

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
