Yamaha FZ description

2005 Yamaha FZ 1, For the rider who likes sportbike performance but prefers more comfortable ergonomics. The FZ1 offers a more traditional upright seating position, yet sacrifices nothing in terms of engine and handling performance. Sometimes it feels sinful to hide an engine like the R1 derived, 20-valve, Genesis powerplant behind bodywork ... hence the FZ1. Our naked bike, though, is fully decked out:Fully adjustable suspension at both endsFour-piston monoblock calipersLight, three-spoke aluminum wheelsWide, high-performance tiresThe same semi-upright ergonomics that make dawn `til dusk rides not just possible but highly enjoyable also provide great leverage when the road turns twisty. In the end, you can come at it from either direction: practical transportation, or 140-horse sportbike

Ben Spies Video Interview on 2012 MotoGP Season [Video]

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Yamaha Factory Racing today posted on its YouTube page a video interview with Ben “Elbowz” Spies, in which Spies discusses the soon to start 2012 season of MotoGP. In his usual calm, cool and under control manner Spies speaks frankly on how he prefers the 1000cc GP machine, saying it suits his style (elbows out!) better than the previous seasons’ 800cc bikes because the extra torque and horsepower of the liter-class bikes are, essentially, better matched to his physical stature. Spies also answers honestly the question of who he thinks he needs to keep an eye in 2012, including his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo.

Thu, 18 May 2023

Yamaha’s sports tourer middleweight receives an influx of technology for 2023 Astute readers are probably wondering why Motorcycle.com is publishing a First Ride of a bike that’s not coming to the States this model year.
