1988 Yamaha FZR 400C EXUP Ca. Model RARE AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER..1 RACE ENGINE INSTALLED AND ONE SPARE! Super CLEAN! I have FULL FAIRINGS bottom parts not shown, but I have both Right and Left. RARE!!! I also have the original California license plate (blue) which will aide you in registering it if you are going to. New Race engine installed..I have heard the engine previous to the install on this bike..it's solid, very nice. YOSHIMURA VINTAGE PIPE. I will also include the original engine for any needed parts. Needs to be finalized before it will run, but it will run like a beast. I also have a new harness for it if needed, it was at the LB Motorcycle swap meet for $10.00 so I picked it up. It was cheap and there. New Kenda back tire, front tire holds air well is newsih but a few years old, but will need to be replaced. New Chain New Sprocket New brake pads Exhaust Servo Motor New Speedo New Seat New keyed ignition New Gas Cap Turn Signals front and back (New) New Brake light, New passenger pegs New Rider pegs Yamaha Windshield included (so freaking rare to find one intact and in this shape (pictured on bottom pic) Needs new brake and clutch levers, the shifter needs replacing (i have new shifter FOR IT not installed) Great bike, Great price for a piece of history with vintage race fairings. In Qatar the technical inspection staff made the factory Yamaha mechanics remove bodywork and unbolt some electrical components in order to get a better look at the guts of the 2011 M1. Everything was in order of course but what a great opportunity for the scrutineers to exercise their power and have a poke around the most high tech Yamaha on the planet.
45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013
Tue, 10 Jun 2014Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.
