The FJR's 145 horsepower, light aluminum frame, push-button adjustable windscreen, standard ABS, adjustable ergos and more, widen the gap between it and common sport tourers to a gaping chasm. This 2009 Yamaha FJR1300AE was only ridden a low 5838 miles. This Yamaha is a 9 out of a 10 hands down. Features include Yamaha's Chip Control Shifting (YCC-S) technology, a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission with electronically-controlled clutch. That's right, no clutch lever. You have the option of shifting via a conveniently located-handlebar switch or using the conventional foot shifter. Kenny Roberts R1 Auction Nets $87,000 for Charity
Mon, 22 Aug 2011The one-off GYTR-equipped Yamaha YZF-R1 ridden by “King” Kenny Roberts at this year’s U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca was auctioned for $87,000. Roberts and late night television star Jay Leno were the special guest auctioneers for the R1 at Mecum’s Motorcycle Auction in Monterey, Calif.

Before you read any farther, here’s the bad news. First, it does not appear as though either the R1 or the R6 received any other updates for 2014.
