this bike has 49,000 highway miles It is in excellent condition in and out well maintained to say the least and U have to read the list. but 1st the only defects are few scuffs on luggage case from the old foot when getting on and off. In the pictures there are some items not included ( radar, gps, blk luggage , and gas tank mount . side bags which of course are included do have the soft carry bags . Yamaha Factory MotoGP Team Loses Another Sponsor
Fri, 30 Dec 2011Yamaha’s factory MotoGP team has lost a major sponsor for the second year in a row. Malaysian oil and gas company Petronas will not be extending its sponsorship agreement with the Yamaha team, ending a three-year relationship. Last year, the Yamaha team lost the title sponsorship of automobile manufacturer Fiat.
Yamaha Recalls R1 and Super Tenere for Overheating Headlights
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Yamaha has started a recall campaign on 2009-2013 YZF-R1 sportbikes and 2012-2013 Super Ténéré models because of a risk of headlight failure due to overheating. The recall campaign affects 19,045 units of the R1 and 4,683 units of the Super Ténéré in the U.S. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, heat generated by the headlight bulb socket may cause the terminal ends to expand, resulting in arcing between the terminal connector and bulb contact.
