- 145 horsepower, a light and rigid aluminum frame, sportbike running gear - Shaft Drive for Super smooth touring and no chain to lube - Electrically adjustable windscreen for sport riding or great wind and weather protection - Touring windscreen fitted (4" taller), comes with standard windscreen if you want it - Heated Grips for those colder rides. - Throttlemeister bar end cruise control for when you're on the freeway - The AE model has an electric-shift five-speed transmission - Easily removable hard sidebags, both capable of taking a full face helmet - Easily removable top case (Yamaha, not after market) for when you need it Just use the left bar-mounted paddles (or the foot-operated gearshift lever) to click off supersmooth gear changes, this eliminates the clutch lever entirely. Owned since December 2006, purchased at 6 months old with just 800 mile from a Yamaha dealer in Santa Monica, always serviced at Yamaha dealers in the bay area since then. Clean and current title, new rear tire, good front tire, good battery, 40,200 on the odometer, but approx. 42,255 miles on the bike because the instrument panel was replaced under warranty at 2,055 miles.

New MotoGP Rules for ECU and Factory Status for 2014
Fri, 26 Jul 2013The Grand Prix Commission released new rules for the 2014 MotoGP season regarding the standard electronic control unit and what constitutes “factory status” for manufacturers. Starting in 2014, the official MotoGP ECU including internal datalogger from Magneti Marelli will become mandatory. Factory teams will be allowed to program their own ECU software while privateers will be required to run the standard software.

The four riders and their machines recently completed a photo session at Yamaha’s U.S.
