Yamaha 175 MX description

****no title off-road onlyMy 1974 175 MX is a bike constructed carefully with only OEM Yamaha NOS parts. Major items including all seals are OEM. Examples of parts invested in this bike. NOS cylinder, head, crank and bearing assembly, clutch basket, plates and springs. All cables NOS Yamaha including NOS oil pump, thus a fully functional autolube system. Forks are original and show some mars. This bike was not polished which would take it to more of a show bike. Additionally, a NOS 1974 YZ magneto and CDI black box were part to the build. The cost alone for the CDI and NOS magneto assembly was about 800.00. NOS front and rear fenders. Side covers are original repaints. The tank is NOS. I bought a second NOS tank but it was not up to speed. I found the installed tank about 8 years ago and had it cleared to preserve it. The unique pipe and stinger on the bike are NOS. A very expensive investment. The frame was blasted and power coated. The front hub is new as are all front and rear spokes. The cases are NOS including the right side clutch housing. The foot pegs are nos with new springs. The bike was completed about 5 years ago and has either been a controlled room in my home or at my office. At least once a year, I change the oil, add some race fuel and take it for a parking lot spin. The bike could be raced but it would be such a waste of the years spent finding the parts. I am selling as I am underway with four other bikes and I do not wish to be a hoarder. However, if the bike does not sell, it is a sign from God to stay with me. Thanks!

BMW G310R vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 vs Kawasaki Z400 vs KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03 You know what they say: It’s more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow. Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.

2014 AMA Supercross – Arlington Results

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

James Stewart‘s hot streak continues with his second-consecutive win and fourth AMA Supercross podium in five weeks after an impressive effort at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Fresh off of signing a contract extension with Yoshimura Suzuki, Stewart took control of the Arlington main event on the third lap, passing holeshot-taker Ryan Dungey and running away with the win. With his win last week at San Diego, Stewart becomes the first rider to win back-to-back races this season and establishes himself as a championship contender as we approach the mid-way point of the 2014 season.
