A collection of 12 short stories, all featuring Chicago detective Jimmy Lavender. These stories first appeared in the periodicals "Short Stories", "Real Detective Tales", and "Mystery Magazine", and are here collected in book form for the first time. *** Cloth rubbed at spine ends and tips, previous owner's name in ink on front free endpaper, paper a bit age toned, dust jacket has tape repairs to the back at the hinges and folds, chips with some loss at spine ends. A very good clean copy in good dust jacket.
