Vincent All description
Lovely Shelley Trio in Vincent Shape 'Tall Trees and Leaves, Large Sun' No 11640 This lovely trio was manufactured between 1925 and 1940 and pattern 11640 was entered into the pattern books during and after 1928 There are no chips, or wear and cup is lovely and clean inside. The gilding looks to be 100 % intact. There is crazing at base of cup and maybe the beginnings to plate The cup is 7.2 cms high, saucer 14 cms and plate 16 cms wide. This trio is in excellent condition showing very little signs of use The pattern and gilding are in excellent condition with gold leaf decoration being used for the leaves of the tree. (note how the sunlight shines on gilding in second photo). I have the impression that this was an expensive set in it's day. |

The bike, often thought by many to be a Vincent Black Shadow, was in fact a Black Lightning – the fastest Vincent ever to see production.

Wed, 23 Jul 2014“Built for Speed – Race Inspired Motorcycles and Art” is the title of Michael Lichter’s 14th annual “Motorcycles as Art” exhibition in Sturgis this August, which for the second year in a row, will be jointly curated by Michael and Paul d’Orleans of the Vintagent. ‘Built for Speed’ is sure to impress visitors with a beautiful and thought-provoking display of motorcycles and related art, the race-inspired theme making connections between motorcycle racing and custom bike designs inspired by racers. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track, Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.
