This auction is for one left hand Lucas type pick-up 458866 as used on Lucas magnetos. Typically used on the K2F , this is a 45 degree pick-up used on the left hand side.

Please note, this pick-up does NOT come with the brush, brush spring, gasket, brass split washer, or hold down screws, I do stock all of those items if needed.

These pickups are actually manufactured in England & due to better materials & manufacturing are better quality than the Lucas originals. Please do not confuse these with the inferior parts coming from India , or the orient that are repackaged in the U.K. and sold as "English".

Bonhams To Auction Bruce Smith Collection Of Original Illustrations

On October 20, Bonhams will be auctioning off a collection of original illustrations by Bruce Smith from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one will be signed by Smith on heavy cartridge paper. The collection is comprised of cutaway illustrations of a 1963 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, Chris Vincent’s 1964 BSA 650cc A65 Race Outfit, and a 1966 Greeves Racer, the largest of this series being 45cm x 62cm.

2012 AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class Nominees Announced

The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation released its list of nominees for the AMA Hall of Fame Museum induction class of 2012. The 26 nominees represents a wide range of contributions to motorcycling, from motocross champions and Daytona 200 winners to tuners to motorcycle rights advocates. The selection committee will further trim the list down to six individuals, three from competition categories and three from non-competition categories.

The stage is set for ”The Meet at ACM” motorcycle show this weekend in Tacoma, WA. While festivities will begin on Friday evening, America’s Car Museum (ACM) will host the third annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival on Saturday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Organizers expect 450 vintage motorcycles and scooters from all over the nation to attend.
