New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. Day 13 Dakar 2014: Barreda Wins Final Stage, Coma Earns His Fourth Dakar Victory

Joan Barreda was determined to make the most of day 13, the last day of the Dakar Rally, after a crash on Friday took him out of second place in the overall standings. He did so in fine fashion, winning the 157km (97.6-mile) final stage aboard his Honda CRF 450 Rally. However, it was Marc Coma whose star was shining brightest, as he crossed the finish line in 18th place — easily enough to collect his fourth Dakar title.
