For proof, see the jewel in the center, the Freedom 92/5 engine. We made it strong, to eat big miles. It’s equipped with counterbalancers and EFI, so everything is smooth. The rest of the bike follows suit. You get a rubber-mounted, vibration-isolating handlebar to keep arms happy. The front and rear suspensions were recalibrated last year to provide even more comfort. There are cushioned floorboards, freeway bars, highway lights and a windshield to keep gusts off your chest. You’ll find lockable, hard saddlebags that are a cinch to open. Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

The amazing Alex Lowes is deservedly grabbing all the attention in the BSB paddock at the moment, but I believe last year’s top Superbike rookie, Alistair Seeley is doing an equally impressive job in the Supersport class. Although he looks ten years younger, thirty one year old Seeley is riding one of only two 2011 600 GSXRs (fellow countryman Marty Nutt is on the other) in the class. Alistair has finished on the podium four times including a race win at the opening Brand Hatch round and currently lies second in the championship. He also took victory on the Gixer in the only race run at the North West 200 last month and was looking like the runaway winner last Sunday at Thruxton until electrical gremlins struck after opening up a seven second lead.
