2014 WSBK – Donington Results

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli. 2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase

The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.

2014 Mugen Shinden San Revealed

Mugen have released these pictures of the 2014 Shinden San (three), the electric racebike Honda’s performance subsidiary is hoping will take victory at this year’s Isle of Man TT Zero event. The past two years the Mugen motorcycles have come second to the radical E1pc Motoczysz machines piloted by Michael Rutter. Details are relatively basic at the moment, but underneath the bodywork, Mugen says the latest Shinden sees lithium-ion battery mated to an oil-cooled three-phase brushless motor producing 134 hp and a whopping 162 ft.-lbs.
