Vespa 50 Super Sprint (50SS)

Excellent first kick scooter used daily for a short commute

Restored 2 years ago using original (NZ origin), NOS and reproduction parts
Engine (V5SS1M1092), 1392km since rebuild
DR75 kit
Electronic ignition, 12V upgrade
Engine is currently assembled with mismatched casings. Original RHS casing has been repaired (see pictures) and could be used again.

Frame is from later SS scooter. Dummy tank mounts added. Floor replaced but is slightly too far back. No frame number.
Dummy tank was sold as NOS by US dealer 10 years ago but appears to be a reproduction. Wheel disks were sold as NOS by the same dealer and are better quality.
Seat is a poor reproduction from India.

Mostly complete 2nd engine (V5SS1M2602) RHS casing currently on scooter
Partial 3 speed 90 engine and internals
Reproduction (white) speedo
Original taillight painted to match scooter

2015 EICMA: Vespa Settantesimo

To celebrate 70 years of Vespa, for 2016 the company is offering the Primavera, GTS and PX in an exclusive color scheme: the Azzurro 70. This unique paintwork include a dark brown saddle, finished with contrasting beige piping and a Vespa Settantesimo logo placed on the passenger seat. The three Settantesimo models are also characterized by a dedicated graphic on the side fairings and an identification plate on the door of the front glove compartment.
