Ural Tourist Classic description

For sale is a 2002 Ural Tourist Classic in Black and Chrome. Black and Chrome on a nostalgic bike looks the best and I believe this is the only year they made the Tourist Classic in Black and Chrome. Hard to find this combo on newer rigs. This beauty has12K Kilometers which is about 7K miles. It is 1WD with Reverse and parking brake.. The 1WD is less maintenance hassle than the 2WD. Unless you live in Siberia, you only need a 1WD. It will go most anywhere a 2WD will go. I believe many new 2WD owners are realizing that for road riding and some moderate off-road, 2WD is way overkill and the service and maintenance is not worth the extra cost. The 2002 model year is among one of the most desirable and hardest to find due to the first year of the 750cc engine which is still in use on 2016 models, but the last year of drum brakes all around. This gives the 2002 the reliability that the 750cc had over the 650cc but the nostalgic look of a true classic older bike. Another benefit is that the spare fits any of the three sides!! Personally, I do not like Brembo brakes on a throw back nostalgic motorcycle. Keep the Brembo's for performance machines! Comes with many, many upgrades. Passenger windscreen, sidecar fitted cover, spare tire, spare tire luggage rack. This rig has been completely sorted out. I searched specifically for this year and model and I purchased it with full intentions to keep it so I completely went through it. Unfortunately, I have been re-directed to a 1950 jeep Willy's restoration project so have no time to enjoy the Ural. New spare tire, new rear tire, new updated clutch plates and heavier springs. New brass bushing, new pressure rod, new updated rubber seals, new updated arm, new clutch cable, new brake cable, new lower profile handlebars, new Denso alternator, new battery. This Tourist Classic has the desirable bench seat which allows for more movement and comfort versus the hard tractor seat set. Throw back pedestrian cutter front license plate. I have recently changed out and serviced oil and rear gear oil, plus rig comes with about 7 new oil filters for future oil maintenance. Also, new reusable rubber valve cover gaskets. Titanium wrapped headers. Handlebar hand guards in trunk. Hand pump in trunk. Trunk lock. No issues whatsoever. Everything works as it should. It is completely ready to go. All new parts and fluids have less than 10 miles on them. Why pay $18K+ for new loaded rig when you can buy a loaded sorted and more nostalgic looking Ural like this for a fraction of the price! This specific year, model, and color combination is extremely hard to find. NO RESERVE!! Good luck bidding!
