1973 Triumph X75 HurricaneRecent Service, Great Original Bike Showing 7450 Miles This X75 is an excellent and clean original bike. It is believed to be largely original except for a repaint, new tires, and a few other things. It was serviced this winter at Triumph expert Hugh Mackie at 6th Street Specials in New York City. He did a full tune up, including: Valve adjustment Ignition timing Primary chain adjustment Clutch adjustment Oil change/clean filters Drop sump/clean filters Remove carbs and strip completely Clean, set up, and balance carbs Change throttle cable Install new battery Check all electrics and lights New plugs and gaskets Chassis service Lube all cables and swivels, etc Check brakes Please see riding video and pictures below. The bike is equipped with a Boyer igniton, fresh tires and a fresh battery. It comes with an owner's handbook and smaller publication on the history of these bikes as well as a parts list and original sales literature. Bike has a clean and clear NJ title and is located in Ridgewood, NJ. I no longer have my shop in Brooklyn anymore as I got a new job working with cars, so I am selling off the last of the inventory and my customer would like it to find a good new home. Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.
2014 AMA Flat Track: Springfield Mile I Results
Mon, 26 May 2014Bryan Smith edged out Kenny Coolbeth Jr. by a mere 0.041 seconds to win the AMA Pro Flat Track Experts Twins race at the Springfield Mile. The ten laps of the race saw Smith and his Kawasaki battling for the lead with Coolbeth and Jake Johnson and Jared Mees sitting close behind waiting for an opening.
2013 AMA Daytona 200 Race Report
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Cameron Beaubier led a parade of Yamaha YZF-R6 racebikes to win the 72nd running of the famed Daytona 200. The Yamaha Extended Service Graves Yamaha rider started from pole position and led for 50 of 57 laps before winning by a 22.254-second margin. Behind Beaubier were four other R6 riders including his teammate Garret Gerloff who finished second.
