My partner and I just spent the last 6 months restoring and building a Cafe Racer. I have a clean clear California title. Bike has been on non-operational status since 10-08-1997.
Everything was touched, checked, cleaned, chromed, powdercoated, painted or replaced! Everything is beautifully done and customized. Few special things are hand built battery box, converted to 12v, BSA Side cover, new exhaust, new Tach, all new wiring, new tail light, new gas cap and parcel rack, spokes and brakes Re Chromed parts include: Kickstand, badges, Motor mounts, tach bracket, Rear brake arm, shifters and brake and kick levers, license plate bracket, fender support, front fender and a few more Powdercoated parts: Frame, battery box, misc brackets, some hardware, triple trees ALL the hardware that is not chrome has been zinc plated. Recall for 2011 Triumph Tiger 800, 800XC Accessory Center Stands
Mon, 29 Aug 2011Triumph is recalling accessory center stands for the 2011 Tiger 800 and Tiger 800XC because of a defective return spring. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the return springs on the accessory center stand for the Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC may not always return to its original length, potentially leading to a loose center stand and a fracture in the spring wire. Riders may detect a rattling sound from the loose stand and in the case of a fractured spring, a scraping sound caused by the center stand dragging along the road.

Fri, 04 May 2012California-based aerospace company XCOR is using a Triumph Street Triple to test rocket components for a suborbital spacecraft. Of course, what immediately comes to mind is a giant rocket strapped on to the Triumph, but the truth is much less dramatic, yet still fascinating. XCOR is using the Street Triple for endurance testing of bearings components for the rocket propellant piston pump of the Lynx suborbital spacecraft.
2012-2013 Triumph Street Triple and Daytona 675 Hit with Nissin ABS Recall
Mon, 29 Jul 2013A manufacturing error by brake manufacturer Nissin has claimed another motorcycle maker. Triumph is recalling the 2012-2013 Street Triple, Street Triple R, Daytona 675 and Daytona 675R because of the problem with the Nissin-supplied anti-lock brake modulator. The issue has already resulted in recalls for the 2014 Honda CTX700 and CTX700N, the 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 (and the Ninja 250 offered in Asian markets) and the 2013 Suzuki Hayabusa.
