Triumph Trophy description

 Many would consider this Beauty the Best of Both Worlds ! ! ! DAYTONA /TIGER inspired Looks (Paint work) & the potential of TRIUMPH 500 TROPHY Dependability & Reliability  (IE) she's a little like a Single Carb. TRIUMPH DAYTONA / TIGER Tribute as She Sports TRIUMPH DAYTONA inspired Custom Candy Blue & Silver Paint...Yet, she has the SIMPLICITY, DURABILITY & RELIABILITY of a Single Carb CLASSIC TRIUMPH 500 TROPHY !!! ...Again, many Enthusiasts (Riders) would consider this the Best of Both Worlds ! ...(IE) ...Think About it when you are Ridding Her down the Road your legs will be covering the carbs ..so really whats the point ??? & Therefore, I think the Tank Detailing is really what you would see (over & above the extra carb ...that you (or anybody watching ride the bike)  really can't see it anyway ...while you are riding the bike) & it is doubtful that the effects of which you (or at least most collectors at this time) ..You may never benefit much from the 2nd carb ...& as a Reliability Note..with the single Carb... there are Absolutely NO Dual Carb. Synchronizing problems + Dual carb bikes have at least Double the typical Carb. Problems, (IE) FAR More Flooding issues etc etc etc etc etc as compared to a single Carb. bike..... "That Is The Reality"....I like GREAT LOOKING Bikes that are Super Simple & Typically Known for being SUPER RELIABLE ..that is why People "LOVE" these TRIUMPH 500s & why & HOW they WON one of the WORLDS MOST GRUELING RACEs on EARTH  "TWO YEARS IN A ROW" 1966 & 1967 ! "THE INTERNATIONAL SIX DAYS TRAILS" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY ....You Can't Argue with Success !!!!!! My Rule of thumb is ......Simpler & More Reliable ....is Always Better with Vintage Bikes !

                                               * * * * * * * * *  This VINTAGE Legendary 1970 TRIUMPH 500 TROPHY TWIN IS A BEAUTY !!!  * * * * * * * * * * *

Bet You Didn't Know In 1966 & 1967 the TRIUMPH 500 TWIN (Not the 650 !!!) WON the "INTERNATIONAL SIX DAY TRAILS" I believe Two years in a Row back to bak !!!...Which is one of the Toughest and Most Grueling Races on Planet Earth !!! (IE) Which has Long Been Considered The WORLD WIDE EQUIV. of ..."The OLYMPICs OF MOTORCYCLE RACING" !

Most Motorcycle Enthusiasts feel TRIUMPH 500's are Far Lighter & FAR EASIER to Handle + More Nimble + Better Handling & Most people also feel the 500 TWINs Rev Up Better & feel Pep-ier Quicker to respond than Her More Heavier Chunky 650 cc Big brother.& Many Other Bikes in Her Class (Which I guess is why the TRIUMPH 500 TWIN "Won the INTERNATIONAL SIX DAY TRAILS in 1966 & 1967" !!!!)

I feel what is here looks AMAZING...Please keep in mind I feel this is overall a nice Example of One of these LEGENDARY CLASSIC TRIUMPH TWINS.... When I first got this bike & even Up until a couple of days ago I looked up here Vin Number ~ 48735 & based on that alone I thought she was a 1966 or 1967 a Local Southern California Classic ENGLISH BIKE shop recently told me a Nice Example of one a 1967 TRIUMPH 500 single carb TWINS NADA.com (Blue Books) for just under ~$10,000.00 & for a twin carb Daytona/Tiger ~$17,000.00 TRIUMPH 500. Yesterday, I got some help looked up the complete VIN number & I was finally educated to the fact that the DD in front of the number means that she was Made in Early 1970 D=1970 & the next D=April   (IE) DD=April 1970')  & as of yesterday I was also told a nice example of a 1970 single carb TRIUMPH 500 like this Blue Books for about 25% less that the above 1967 values. Either way, if someone has some mechanical Skills I think they can make out like a Bandit.... as again I have owned TRIUMPHs off & on ..all the way back to the 1950's & I really thought this was a 1966 or 67 TRIUMPH as to me they look that similar ...At Only 3500 I think someone will get a Really Nice TRUE LEGENDARY CLASSIC TRIUMPH with the Potential of Being a GREAT Reliable & SUPER FUN Bike ... for Peanuts!

* * PLEASE NOTE: We are just completing her Brand New cosmetic Restoration (as detailed above etc)...& "YOU" can be the Very First Owner of this Beautiful Bike since this was completed ! Triumph introduced a new urban hooligan

Mon, 05 Feb 2018

Naked Speed Triple got an update! The super-charismatic Speed Triple first appeared in 1994 and was essentially a Daytona 900 sportbike without a fairing. The new device is presented in the S and RS versions, carries the former 1050 index, but can do something more than its predecessor.

2012 Triumph Street Triple sighted

Fri, 03 Jun 2011

Whilst sauntering home from work the other evening, in a double-take I stumbled upon a 2012 Triumph Street Triple, the one with the 675 engine. Thinking that I had discovered a 'scoop' that this bike was being previewed in Islington I hastily took shots on my (un)smart phone - only to find out that the 2012 Street Triple has already been released to the streets of the UK. Peers have described the new slanty lights of the Speed/Street Triple as 'looking a bit mongoloid' but I have to disagree.
