Triumph Trophy description

1968 Triumph Trophy 650 fresh from the barn showing 9024 miles.  I acquired it four years ago from the second owner who had it properly stored away for 25 years.   Photos tell the story.  Basically original except for headlight bucket, exhaust system and seat trim.

Original paint, straight original tins and six-pack rack on the tank.  Straight frame, wheels and handlebars.  No signs of ever being crashed.  Easy maintenance single carburetor model.  They're only original once - the patina of this motorcycle can’t be duplicated.  Engine covers and all hardware in excellent condition. Tach needs work, needle.  Original showroom catalog included.  Numbers matching.  Texas title in my name.

Front end completely rebuilt including new fork tubes, fork seals, followers and boots.  Even has the fork lock key!  Neck bearings cleaned, repacked & adjusted.  New period correct grips.  New correct Dunlop tires, new tubes, balancing, new rim straps, new wheel bearings and seals.  New correct cloth covered wiring harness, sparkplug wires & battery.  All electrics work fine; headlight, dimmer switch, tail light, brake light, headlight bucket parking light, indicator lights, gauge lights and horns.  New front brakes.  Fresh engine, gearbox and primary case oils. Gas tank is real nice – no rust or leaks!  This vintage Triumph runs fine and is ready to ride.  Helmet & goggles not included.

This is an auction so please don't ask me for a buy now price.  Make an offer afterward if it does not sell this auction.  Bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. Shipping is buyer’s responsibility and I will be available for pick up.  Non-refundable $500 deposit via PayPal required within 24 hrs of auction end.  Remaining balance by bank transfer (wire) within 5 business days, buyer pays all fees. The bike, title and keys are yours once funds clear.  Storage charges apply if motorcycle not picked up within 30 days. I am not responsible after it’s paid for so buyer urged to get an insurance policy right away.  I have excellent feedback except for one whiner who complained about the shipping and handling cost clearly stated in my listing for a low dollar part.

Feel free to ask any questions about the condition of this motorcycle.  I strongly encourage all bidders to inspect or contract inspection before bidding.  The description of this motorcycle with any known defects is written to the best of my knowledge.  All sales final, no warranty of any kind, no refunds.  Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase this item.

Keep your bike close to you when you go camping with the MOTOTENT from motorcycle adventurers Lone Rider. Priced at £450, here's a round-up of the features from Lone Rider: The MOTOTENT is spacious enough to shelter a dual sport bike as big a BMW R1200 GSA with all its luggage, to have room to work on it, and to be able to stand in the tent. The tunnel-shaped design allows a very quick setup of the tent when needed.
