Triumph Tiger description

2013 Triumph Tiger 800XC, Tiger 800XC. Built to take it. Tough. Rugged. Built to last. Loves the open road, devours the rough stuff. The one bike that can do it all, Tiger 800XC sets new standards in the adventure bike sector. With its big wheels and long suspension travel, the Tiger 800XC just loves getting its claws dirty. Let the adventure begin. 2012 Motorcyclist Magazines Best Adventure Bike! Built to take the worst you can throw at it, the Tiger 800 XC has been fully equipped to handle autobahns and green lanes with equal aplomb. The 800cc three-cylinder engine sets new standards in the adventure bike class, smoothly delivering plentiful torque at low revs for accurate off-road riding and combining it with more than adequate top end power for relaxed high-speed cruising. With its rugged steel frame and long travel suspension the Tiger 800 XC has been designed for the rough stuff, with a host of optional accessories available for riders planning to spend more time off the pavement than on it. The high specification includes a factory-fitted immobilizer, adjustable 45mm upside down front forks, adjustable rider seat and hand guards. Adjustable tapered aluminum handlebars add a touch of class and off-road durability to the Tiger 800 XC, while the optional anti-lock braking system can be switched off for off-road riding.

Looking after number 1

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.

Church of MO: 2002 Triumph 955i Daytona First Ride

Sun, 03 Apr 2022

For a while there it looked like Triumph wanted to play the superbike game with the rest of the world. But slimming down the 955i Daytona by losing its original one-sided swingarm, and other weight-saving measures, sometimes seemed more like cost-cutting ones. And maybe Triumph sensed the imminent demise of the superbike a bit earlier than some others.

Spanish magazine Motociclismo has acquired photos of what it says will be a new 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 sport-tourer. According to Motociclismo, the 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 uses many of the same components as the recently launched Triumph Tiger Explorer, including its 1215cc inline Triple engine and shaft drive. The Trophy 1200 will likely also get traction control and ABS like the Tiger Explorer, as well as touring-oriented niceties such as an adjustable windscreen, heated grips, panniers and cruise control.
