Triumph Tiger tech info
Triumph Tiger description
Up for sale my beautiful Triumph Tiger 800 XC ABS 2011. As you can see I have been taking care of this bike since day one. I have been riding for over 25 years and have owned a wide range of motorcycles, this is by far the most powerful, versatile, smooth, responsive and reliable dual sport bike I have had. Before I bought this bike I was convinced I was getting a bmw gs800, a triumph dealership happened to be next door of bmw, took a test ride and I was sold by second gear. The triple engine has no comparison, and it shifts like new. If you have never tried this engine, it will amaze you and you will never go back to a twin. I have changed the oil and filter my self every 3000 miles with fully synthetic oil, I have also changed the battery recently, sprockets and chain, so you are good to go for a while. The rear tire has less than 500 miles, the front still has about 2000 miles more to go. You will also get the original street tires which probably have less than 500 miles, and the stock muffler.
The aftermarket muffler LeoVince is about 6 months old and gives it just the right tone, not too loud or annoying. This is a dual purpose bike so it does have some blemishes and light scuffs on the side plastics. which by the way are very inexpensive and easy to replace, the front turn light lenses are broken, lights do work, I ordered them so you will get a new pair with the bike. The tank has a dent on the left side, see pics, it is really not too noticeable because of the white paint and the shape of the tank, no scratches on the tank. The front peak has a small crack, very minor, see pics. All controls and lights work. Bike is in great overall condition and you will not find a cleaner dual sport bike out there. Please let me know if have any questions or if you would like to see additional pics. Buyer responsible for pick up and/or shipping. Clear title. No warranties Paypal, cash or cashiers check only. Thanks for looking! |

The future. But we can't have it
Thu, 10 Nov 2011It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.
Speed Triple gets new boots
Tue, 18 May 2010Since the spark plug incident last month resulting in the premature demise of the factory fitted Metzlers, I’ve had to find some new rubber for the Speed Triple. With the Triumph’s punchy engine Commuting 1800 miles a month on motorways and city roads, I need something that will cover decent miles but also be up for some frequent country lane antics. With the BT023’s Bridgestone claim longer life with solid wet weather performance for touring riders whilst satisfying the demands of the keen sport bike riders.
