Triumph Tiger description

This motorcycle is in excellent condition and has been stored in a climate controlled environment for the past 6 years.  It only has 9692 miles on it and is ready to ride.  It recently had some carburator and clutch work.  The mechanic that worked on it is very familiar with vintage triumphs and was amazed at it's condition and how it runs.  I can provide his telephone number if you are interested in talking with him.  This bike is super clean and starts on the first kick.  It is also in the condition and of the age where it will continue to appreciate in value.  There is a couple of scratches on the front fender that can be seen in one of the pictures.  Please ask questions or if you want to see close ups of any parts, let me know.

All the frame numbers match to the title.

This is a 1972 Triumph Tiger 650.

Speed Triple gets new boots

Tue, 18 May 2010

Since the spark plug incident last month resulting in the premature demise of the factory fitted Metzlers, I’ve had to find some new rubber for the Speed Triple. With the Triumph’s punchy engine Commuting 1800 miles a month on motorways and city roads, I need something that will cover decent miles but also be up for some frequent country lane antics. With the BT023’s Bridgestone claim longer life with solid wet weather performance for touring riders whilst satisfying the demands of the keen sport bike riders.

R&G Drop proof Triumph Speed Triple

Mon, 16 May 2011

Over the years R&G have been the brand known for being the originators of crash protecting bolt-ons. I asked them for a stack of products to fit to the 2011 Speed Triple to see what difference they make. The thing about modern day sports tyres is they offer huge grip when fully leant over, but we are often too nervous to make the most of this, simply because the British road surfaces are changeable and largely unpredictable.
