Triumph Thunderbird description

Voted 'Cruiser of the Year' by Cycle World magazine, this cruiser/touring motorcycle is incredible!

This is a very large motorcycle! First one I've ever been really comfortable on.  It's pure original stock except perhaps for the Garmin GPS system.

CONDITION: Excellent

FEATURES: Chrome Engine Guards, Chrome Dual Exhaust-High Performance, Windshield, Radiator Cooled OHC, V-Twin 1597 cc engine, ABS Disc-brakes, Two-Tone Color, Six Speed, Belt Drive, Saddle Bags (Pair) and GPS.Selling since moving.  Also, includes Garmin "Zumo" GPS Navigation System!

18 months left on Western Service Contract "Advantage B Plan" covering Front/Rear Suspension, Steering,  Instrumentation, Brakes, Electrical, Engine, Transmission, and Drive Unit.

Upcoming Service Items: Will soon likely need new tires and new drive belt.  Still, it got me safely home from California a month ago, so it's in very good shape all around.

HISTORY:  I bought this from Cal Moto with the (at that time 3 year) Western Service Plan (above) in June 2015.  I used it for a 10 mile RT commute and then drove it home this year in October after my contract ended. It is now in Northern Colorado in my garage.

SHIPPING and PAYMENT: Local pickup only.  I am still making payments on this bike but have all paperwork so sale should be standard.

Recall for 2010 Triumph Thunderbird

Mon, 16 May 2011

Triumph Motorcycles is starting a recall campaign on certain 2010 Thunderbird cruisers due to a problem with the front fender fasteners. On certain 2010 Triumph Thunderbirds, including some ABS-equipped units, the four screws on the front fender mounts may come loose. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the plating used on the fender mounting included friction modifiers which are not compatible with the thread lock compound used on the screws.
