The heart of the Street Triple is the throbbing 675 cc triple, delivering 106 PS and 68 Nm of torque. It’s so good you’ll have trouble believing its only 675 cc. The torque and sound of the liquid-cooled 12-valve triple, combined with a close ratio 6-speed gearbox produce an exciting ride, and the under-engine silencer helps lower the center gravity and improve handling. Fri, 20 Sep 2013This is the Triumph Speed Twin Concept, a bike commissioned by Triumph to show what the Bonneville might have evolved into, in a parallel universe. I love the concept. Designed by Roy Norton and Tom Kasher who were on a placement at a design studio, I get the impression the pair are into motorcycle and not just designers.
Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.
