The Fonz Never Really Rode a Motorcycle!
Tue, 02 Jun 2009According to the “King of Cool” himself, “The Fonz” (Henry Winkler) never actually rode any motorcycles during the ten year Happy Days television run. Winkler, never rode a bike in real life either, he has dyslexia, which made it difficult for him to co-ordinate the clutch, throttle and brake. Instead, the bikes (Harley Davidson’s, Triumph’s, BSA’s were used) were mounted on a piece of wood with wheels to make it look like he was riding, even though I am not shocked, I am a little disappointed… You can watch the interview with Winkler, the famous motorcycle jump “The Fonz” made over 14 trashcans and a bonus “Jump the Shark” video after the jump. Latus Racing to Enter AMA Pro Flat Track with Bonneville Performance
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Latus Motors Racing announced it is returning to AMA Pro Flat Track competition, working with the Bonneville Performance team with Triumph-powered machines. Last season, the Bonneville Performance team entered the first Triumph AMA Pro Flat Track team in 30 years. Johnny Lewis will ride Latus Motors Racing’s Castrol Triumph bike while Mikey Martin will ride the Bonneville Performance United States Marine Corps 2nd Battalion 4th Marines Triumph.
Recall for 2011-2012 Triumph Sprint GT, Tiger 800, Tiger 800XC Optional Top Box
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for optional accessory top boxes for the 2011-2012 Sprint GT sport tourer and the Tiger 800 and 800XC dual sports. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the top box locking handle is missing a clip lip to ensure a proper lock on the rear rack. Without this clip, the locking mechanism may not be secure, potentially leading to the top box falling off of the motorcycle.
