Triumph Sprint description
I'm selling my 2011 Triumph Sprint GT because I simply don't get to ride it enough. A great hybrid of a sport bike and a touring bike, it's very fast, comfortable, and practical, with two easily detachable 31-liter hard panniers. Features include Triumph's 1050 cc in-line triple engine, adjustable suspension, and anti-lock brakes (ABS). The wide, nicely padded rear seat and well positioned footpegs make it comfortable for a passenger over long distances, and the side-mounted exhaust (instead of the under-seat exhaust on the previous model) keep the passenger seat cooler. It's got less than 4200 miles on it and still seems almost new, with a long life yet to come. This bike is a lot of fun on twisting mountain roads and country highways. The amount of luggage space makes it perfect for weekend or week-long trips. You'll see a small scrape on the fairing on one side where I laid it down once, but I did it gently, at almost a complete stop. I attempted a Y-turn on a steep hill and it didn't work out as planned. It's easily touched up, though, and that's the only place that made contact. |

Classic Off-Road Bikes Featured in Braving Baja: 1,000 Miles to Glory Exhibition
Sat, 06 Apr 2013Back in the 60s, American Honda tested the durability of its motorcycles by sending a CL72 Scrambler on a 950-mile trek through rocks, sand washes, dry lake beds, mountain passes and paved roads. Fifty years later, that legendary run is remembered for inspiring one of the most significant off-road races in the world—the Baja 1000. In celebration, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is hosting a tribute dinner, one-day off road show, and summer-long exhibition called Braving Baja, 1,000 Miles to Glory.

Glen Richards back with Embassy Racing
Wed, 27 Oct 2010One of the unsung heroes of the BSB paddock over the past few seasons, has to be 2010 Superstock 1000 runner up Glen Richards. A nasty tumble in at the Brands Hatch opener lead to four DNFs, but once back on track he pushed the dominant BMWs hard, finishing on the podium eight times. While many were trading their grannies to fund new S1000RRs, Richards kept the faith and rode the wheels off his Padgett’s Honda Fireblade.
