Triumph Sprint description

2003 Triumph Sprint ST, The Road is Calling! The Sprint ST 955i has classic lines that go against the trend of hard angular plastic angst, as expressed in the fairings of so many modern bikes. This Triumph is great at the role it s intended for: stable, neutral and relaxed on any road. Three cylinders give the Triumph Sprint ST the character and low rev torque of a twin with the high rev power and smoothness of a four. A key ingredient in Triumph triples and this one s a gem. Always more than enough grunt and a lively character too. The Triumph Sprint ST is a solid motorcycle with few glitches. Plenty run to 50,000 miles and a few to more than twice that with minimal grief. With less than 4500 miles on the odometer, this Sprint ST has a long, happy life ahead of it. The three bag set up insures this bike is ready for the daily commute, the weekend in the Berkshires or the month long cross country trek. Other than a few very minor boot scuffs (shown in photos), this is one clean Triumph. Stop in today to schedule your free test ride! This Triumph is a Martin Moto Certified Pre-Owned Unit and comes with our exclusive 30-day warranty on service and parts. Extended service contracts may also be available. Please contact our Sales Department for more information. At Martin Moto, we take pride in every unit we sell. Each bike passes through our award winning Service Department and leaves with a fresh PA inspection sticker.

AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season

Fri, 12 Apr 2013

AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.

MPG or BHP?

If you were a child of the seventies, you may remember Craig Vetter’s name from his previous work as a stylist (Triumph Hurricane) or his huge fairing business, Vetter Fairings.  Since then, the 69 year-old industrial designer has become obsessed by fuel consumption - or rather highlighting how poor motorcycles are delivering impressive figures. He originally ran a series of fuel challenges in the eighties and now the economy has taken a nose dive, he has resurrected the competition, figuring that the time is now right to highlight these issues again. According to Vetter, three of every four American gallons of petrol is imported – reason enough to devote his time to raising awareness.
