Triumph Speed Triple description

2010 Triumph Speed Triple, 15th Anniversary John Bloor Edition - SPEED TRIPLE The original factory street fighter. The streetfighting champion of the world. Triumph’s Speed Triple is a modern day classic, a perfect expression of the stripped-down, ready-for-action, naked sport bike. Many have come and gone since the first Speed Triple created the class in 1994, but the latest incarnation of Triumph’s naked sport still rules the roost. At 130, the Speed Triple has the most powerful version of the 1,050 cubic-centimeter three-cylinder engine snarling beneath the rider. Stripped for action from its iconic twin headlamps to the stubby rear end, the high-specification of the Speed Triple shines through. Make no mistake, this is no dumbed down sportsbike with the fairing off. This is the real deal. From the adjustable 43 millimeter upside down forks to the four-piston Brembo brakes and tapered aluminum Magura handlebars, the Speed Triple boasts quality components from head to toe. Premium details like the single-sided swingarm and multi-spoke alloy wheels complete the unmistakable Speed Triple look, with the stubby dual exhausts delivering the unique three-cylinder soundtrack in booming stereo.

Street Triple gets a Yoshi boost

Fri, 21 Jan 2011

Yoshimura, the purveyors of fine aftermarket exhausts have put the heads together for these fine looking high-level cans for the Triumph Street Triple. According to the PR; the exhausts offer a considerable gain in performance over the stock items (dyno results below), with a significant weight reduction. The stock exhausts top the scales at 7.2kg and with the top-of-the-range carbon slip-ons, the weight is shaved down to 3.5kg.

2022 Triumph Speed Twin Review

Mon, 16 Aug 2021

A little more of everything, along with Euro 5 It was just about a year ago when we sampled Triumph’s reborn Speed Twin for the first time on home soil, in a two-bike standoff against a way-more-expensive optioned-out BMW R nineT. At the time, we were slightly underwhelmed and had to rate the new Speed Twin second, by a hair. 2022 Triumph Speed Twin Editor Score: 89.0% Engine 18.5/20 Suspension/Handling 13.0/15 Transmission/Clutch 9.0/10 Brakes 9.0/10 Instruments/Controls 3.5/5 Ergonomics/Comfort 9.5/10 Appearance/Quality 9.5/10 Desirability 8.5/10 Value 8.5/10 Overall Score 89/100 It was mostly a suspension thing; the Triumph’s old-timey 41mm cartridge fork and twin rear shocks couldn’t compete with the R nineT’s plush, adjustable setup.

Triumph Rocket 3: Hope you like black

Tue, 29 Sep 2009

COLOURED PAINT must be thin on the ground at Triumph: the company's latest incarnation of their gargantuan Rocket 3 will only available in black when it's released early next year. And there's more torque, too: 165ft-lbs to be precise - up 15 per cent on last year. Triumph also say the new bike will offer "A completely different riding experience from its predecessor." Bold statement.
