Triumph Speed Triple description

You are bidding on a two-owner Triumph Speed Triple 955i three cylinder sporting standard motorcycle.
The original owner purchased new in December 1998, and I bought it February 2012.

Currently the bike is around 82,000 miles, but that number will likely change as it is still being ridden.

Recent service includes: Synthetic oil, filter, spark plugs, air filter change, ignition coils replaced, gel battery, Michelin Pilot Power 2ct front and rear, 520 chain and sprockets, Leo Vince carbon muffler, Biltwell grips, Bar end mirrors, Both seats recovered in diamond stitch by Gruesome Gator in Pinellas Park, FL

This motorcycle was recently tuned at Proven Power in Tampa, FL, and the dyno sheets show 106.27 horsepower and 63.74 lb/ft of torque to the rear wheel.
These numbers are strong for a 17 year old bike with over 80k miles!

Please note that a Paypal deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of auction end, with balance due by cash, certified check, money order within 7 days.
Shipping arrangements can be made with your choice of shipper, or I can assist with delivery at your expense.
I have had good luck with Uship for motorcycle and car deliveries, but you may have your own preference of delivery method.

Best of luck bidding, and feel free to ask any questions that you may have.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.

Craig Vetter Grand Marshall for 2012 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Tue, 22 May 2012

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame member and noted designer Craig Vetter — whose contributions to motorcycling range from the iconic Windjammer fairings and the Triumph X-75 Hurricane to the Mystery Ship limited-production high-performance motorcycles and a number of high-profile motorcycle fuel-economy contests — will be honored as this year’s grand marshal at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days featuring Rockers and Mods, July 20-22, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. Vetter has been a member of the American Motorcyclist Association and a designer since 1965, and his varied background gives him a unique alliance to both the Rockers and Mods motorcycle subcultures. His design projects over the years have involved café racers — the motorcycles of choice for Rockers — and scooters, which are favored by Mods.
