Triumph Scrambler description

## This "Special/purpose built" Scrambler/short-circuit/trials/road-trails bike is the only one like it in the World
.
## It started its life as a Greeves 200cc Scottish Trials bike back in the early 60's - it was refitted with a Triumph Tiger 500cc kit from the UK back in the late 60's by a renown Qld scramble rider - it was raced very successfully - the next owner was an aircraft engineer, who refurbished the entire bike with just about everything replaced with new bitz or reconditioned - this amazing piece of machinery is just waiting for the right person too screw the quick action throttle, either in competition of road use

## The engine is believed to be one of ten produced for the Royal English Navy in 1967 with low compression, responsive cam, single carb, different gear ratios and an outside selection lever.

## These were raced World wide by the top riders and won many/many/many World titles - every bike is different since it was up to the "builder" to put his/her finishing touches to the final product.

## The bike is equipped with electronic ignition, mirrors, quiet muffler, speedo, lights and horn - it is ready for a road certificate or strip and race with the "golden oldies"

## Rear brake is by cable, Sammy Miller bitz, Greeves handle bars, English rims, Amal quick action throttle/carby, Triumph head-light, Enfield muffler, chain-oiler, a special purpose built alloy oil tank/air cleaner box, motor/gear-box refurbished, brakes and suspension renewed - starts and runs beautifully.

New Triumph joins the family this Friday

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

With the nights drawing out it feels like an end to what has been a very long winter. I’ve been getting the train to work recently and if you’ve used London’s tube network in rush hour then you’ll know what I mean when I say the words ‘inhuman over crowding’. I had a call from the Triumph factory in Hinckley today and the good news is my new staff bike will be ready for collection on Friday.

French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011

Mon, 24 Oct 2011

Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
