Triumph Rocket III description

2013 Triumph Rocket III Roadster, 2.3 litres of pure unadulterated muscle. A hefty 221Nm of torque. And a brooding presence that simply demands respect. The Rocket III is one of those bikes that comes along once in a lifetime. Monstrous levels of torque come as standard with the turbine-like triple cylinder engine. So too does a roar like that of some primal beast every time you twist the throttle. With ABS as standard, muscular streetfighter looks and finished in black or matte black, The Roadster III packs the ultimate punch and delivery a riding experience like no other.

Speed Triple gets new boots

Tue, 18 May 2010

Since the spark plug incident last month resulting in the premature demise of the factory fitted Metzlers, I’ve had to find some new rubber for the Speed Triple. With the Triumph’s punchy engine Commuting 1800 miles a month on motorways and city roads, I need something that will cover decent miles but also be up for some frequent country lane antics. With the BT023’s Bridgestone claim longer life with solid wet weather performance for touring riders whilst satisfying the demands of the keen sport bike riders.

He originally ran a series of fuel challenges in the eighties and now the economy has taken a nose dive, he has resurrected the competition, figuring that the time is now right to highlight these issues again. According to Vetter, three of every four American gallons of petrol is imported – reason enough to devote his time to raising awareness.

What’s Old Is New Again – Video

There’s something distinctly cool about old British motorcycles. From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s.  I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
