Triumph Rocket III description

I Am offering for sale my 2005 Triumph Rocket 3 with hand built sidecar. I am the original owner of this bike. I built this as a dedicated sidecar unit to be used as you see it displayed in the pictures. Every accessory is a one of a kind hand built item that I personally hand built. The sidecar is somewhat patterned after a 34 Ford street rod. It is entirely constructed with aluminum. It is complete with windows that roll up and down and a functional sunroof. I am often asked if it gets hot in the sidecar. The answer is no for 2 reasons. Aluminum dissipates heat must faster than other metals also the entire unit is insulated with expanded foam insulation making it somewhat like a ice chest. It does have a stereo system complete with a DVD player. Currently the DVD player is not working correctly and will need replaced. The sidecar holds a 6 gallon fuel cell for extended range for the bike. The sidecar suspension has a electric leveling system that can be adjusted on the fly. It is also equipped with a hydraulic brake on the sidecar wheel. There is a spacious locking trunk area behind the passenger.

As for the bike itself let me start off by saying it has all of the Triumph warranty updates from The factory. it is complete with a Mayer Day Long seat that is very comfortable. All aluminum hand formed fairing. Aluminum milled floor boards. Hand Built custom stainless steel exhaust system. The front suspension is a hand built leading link fork. The bike is equipped with a electronic cruise control. Complete custom paint as well. it has a hitch and is fully wired for a trailer

The bike was built and designed to be used. I have personally ridden all of the 84k miles on the odometer.  Because it was designed and used for that purpose there are a few spots on the chrome forks that are not perfect. The sidecar fender has a noticeable scrape on it that if the unit sells I will repaint before delivery. The clear coat on the rear wheel has peeled as well. As a side note for an additional price of $3000 I have a custom all aluminum pop up camper made by Quicksilver that can be purchased outside of the auction should you choose to do so.. I have ridden and toured extensively with this bike and have complete confidence in it

Please do not ask my reserve price Though I will entertain cash offers. Thank you and feel free to ask questions.

We had a real diverse selection or bikes actually with a GSX1400, XJR1300, Triumph Speedmaster, MT01, A Yamaha R1 and my Triumph Speed Triple.

Bonhams To Auction Wayne Pierce Family Collection Of Motorcycles Jan. 9, 2014, In Las Vegas

Fri, 04 Oct 2013

On January 9, 2014, during the fourth annual Las Vegas Sale of motorcycles at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, Bonhams, the world’s largest auction house for cars, motorcycles and memorabilia, will be auctioning off over 50 motorcycles from the extensive Wayne Pierce family museum collection, all offered at no reserve. Among the machines is a first-year Harley-Davidson Sportster believed to be the 10th XL883 produced in 1957, a 1933 Harley VLE police bike that saw actual duty on the streets of Chicago before being cast in the 1987 Kevin Costner gangster movie, “The Untouchables,” and an authentic and unrestored 1947 Harley Knucklehead wearing period aftermarket accessories. Wayne “Pappy” Pierce started his Harley-Davidson dealership in 1957, run out of a one-room tin shed in DeKalb, Illinois.

A weekend of Lawn mower racing, Big Ed, Muc Off and Carlsberg

Mon, 14 Jun 2010

Around this time every summer the BMF hold the Garden Of England Motorcycle Show otherwise known as GEMS. The show happens to be round the corner from me so event sponsors MCE Insurance kindly sent me some passes so I could have a look around. Apart from the usual trade stands and crazy arena antics one of the highlights was the national lawn mower racing championship.
