1963 Triumph Other (1963)
This 1963 Triumph TS20 Cub Trials is from the Hamilton Triumph Motorcycle Museum in Apache Junction, Arizona. It was restored by renown Triumph expert Dave Wedlake of Portland, Oregon. It is on display in our collection but is being sold to make room for new acquisitions. According to Mike Edstall’s excellent book “The Triumph Tiger Cub Bible” theTS20 was a very rare “Works Replica” model developed to be as near as could be to the machines used by the factory riders. There were 340 TS20s produced in 1963 and 97% of them were shipped to the US.2016-11-10 04:37:30Apache Junction, Arizona, United States011000

1947 Triumph Other (1947)
Selling for a friend. 1947 Highly Modified Triumph Twin Speed with long stroke engine. This bike and the owner are legends! Featured in the Steve McQueen Movie "ON ANY SUNDAY" (1971). Original owner and rider (can be seen in the movie). Hawkeye Hillbilly built, rode and still owns the bike. It's in excellent show condition. Also to go with the bike are trophies and the racing vest worn in the movie. Hawkeye Hillbilly is a featured rider in the movie, who climbed the famous "Widowmaker Hill", just outside of Salt Lake City. Until this movie, the top of the hill had never been conquered! Hawkeye made it to within fifty feet of the top in this movie! Hawkeye and his bike have won several other competitions including the 1974 Canadian National Championships. A few things about the bike include: very rare all alloy long stroke engine, dual carbs with splay port heads (experimental for the 650 Bonneville), one of 300 imported to the U.S. for the Class C dirt track. This bike is sought after by the AMA Museum, National Motor Cycle Museum and others. The bike was recently featured in the Des Moines Concours d'Elegance! The bike is appraised at $30,000 to $50,000. Bike is sold on a bill of sale.2016-11-17 04:49:44Moscow, Iowa, United States024000

Single sided chain adjustment
Wed, 14 Apr 2010We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?
A thing of beauty?
Mon, 29 Mar 2010The weather was pretty good over the weekend and I managed to get 500 miles in and become better acquainted with the Speed Triple. I’m still running it in but as it’s reputation suggest the bike doesn’t disappoint. There are some noticeable differences over most other naked bikes I’ve ridden, you could call them quirks, but i'll talk about those in a week or so.
The Triple's ready, three days early!
Wed, 24 Mar 2010Mark Forsyth returned our Bonneville long termer today, and the Speed Triple was ready at the triumph factory to be brought back with him…three days early. Here’s a picture of it ‘wedged’ in the back of our new Ford Wildtrak. The bad news is, it won’t arrive at our London office until Friday, patience Andy, patience.
New Triumph joins the family this Friday
Tue, 23 Mar 2010With the nights drawing out it feels like an end to what has been a very long winter. I’ve been getting the train to work recently and if you’ve used London’s tube network in rush hour then you’ll know what I mean when I say the words ‘inhuman over crowding’. I had a call from the Triumph factory in Hinckley today and the good news is my new staff bike will be ready for collection on Friday.

Mon, 08 Mar 2010WE SPOTTED this one earlier on French website Motorevue: a Swede, Sivert Raask, has concocted a this motorcycle from Triumph's 1600cc Thunderbird cruiser, with the use of a handmade seat, a Ducati tank and a bit of cunning.Quite tasty for a home-brewed effort, don't you think? Ford Ranger Wildtrak: part one
Sat, 20 Feb 2010Picked up our Ford Ranger Wildtrak pickup last week. She’s massive, blue and bestowed with a three-litre turbo diesel engine that’s so torquey you can set off in first gear with no throttle at all. Going to be perfect for humping bikes and people and gear around, that’s fo’ sho’.
Charge Up you iPhone While You Ride
Fri, 12 Feb 2010Motorcyclists can now enjoy total freedom on the open road confident in the knowledge that their cell phones, GPS, MP3 players and latest generation of iPhone/iTouch devices will remain fully-charged and in-service for the duration of the ride thanks to Powerlet’s plug and play systems. “Our product line was inspired by personal experience and the realization that there were no worthwhile options for clean, reliable on-board power for cell phones, stereos and GPS devices,” says Powerlet Products founder Adam Bonislawaski. “Before we came on to the scene, riders would bust out the black tape and wire strippers and cut into their bike’s fragile wiring to tie-in a cheap cigar lighter to power their devices.
