Triumph Other description

The Explorer was introduced as an all new motorcycle from Triumph, designed to immediately take on the dual-sport motorcycle world. The Explorer is powered by an all new 1215cc, inline three-cylinder engine. This smooth-running, high power engine develops 135 bhp and 89 ft-lbs of torque. A six-speed gearbox and low-maintenance shaft drive are used to couple the engine to the 10 spoke, cast aluminum alloy 17-inch rear wheel. Kayaba front and rear suspension systems have extended wheel travel and provide excellent handling and control. The rear suspension system is adjustable for pre-load and rebound damping. The Explorer features many new features as standard equipment, including a ride-by-wire electronic throttle system, electronic cruise control and traction control. A switchable Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is standard equipment, as is a stainless steel exhaust system and silencer. A comprehensive digital instrument package is controlled by a thumb wheel on the handlebar. This 2013 Graphite Triumph Explorer is equipped with many factory options which include an Aluminum Radiator Guard, an Alloy Belly Pan, Engine Protection Bars, Touring Screen, Hand Guards, Rubber Tank Pad, Fog Lights and Switch and a Triumph Waterproof Roll Bag. Accessories include an anodized silver Zega Pro Pannier System with Integral Locks, a Front Fender Riser Kit, a Quick Release Headlight Guard and a Side Stand Switch Guard.

Another bikes vs. car drift battle

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

Icon have just released a sequel to last year's popular drift video that featured Nick Brocha on a stretched ZX10 racing alongside a Corvette-Powered RX7.  Upping the stakes this time, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil, both onboard Triumph Speed Triples that have been built for the sole purpose of moving forward, but sideways. Taking up the rear is a supercharged 550hp Ford Mustang Cobra, quite apt really seeing how the film ends. Like the recent Jorian Ponomareff 'Drift Gymkhana', its great to see another video that does justice to the talent on show.

Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.
