The Thruxton is Triumph’s sportiest Modern Classic, and authentic café racer delivering a unique Triumph experience. Low rise bars, a sporting riding position, 18-inch spoked wheels, megaphone style exhaust and a race-inspired stripe from tank to tail evoke memories of the Ace Café, racing in the streets, but underneath the engineering is pure 21st century, with a clean-running fuel injected 865 cubic-centimeter parallel twin engine tuned for more performance and modern day reliability. The chassis too brings modern handling and braking thanks to adjustable 41-millimeter forks and a 320-millimeter floating front disc brake gripped by a twin-piston caliper. Pro Singles Flat Tracker Shayna Texter Moves To GNC
Wed, 05 Feb 2014The first female to win an AMA Pro Singles main event, Shayna Texter, is graduating to the premier Grand National Championship class aboard Latus Motors Racing’s Castrol Triumph. In 2011 Texter won the Pro Singles main event at Knoxville Raceway to become the first female to win an AMA Pro Singles main event. Last year Texter won two AMA Pro Singles main events on her way to placing fourth in the Pro Singles championship. She also swept the two Basic Twins main events at Springfield.
Freedom Friday Photo Contest
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Freedom Friday is a call-to-action on the AMA’s Facebook page each Friday to alert motorcyclists about issues posing threats to motorcycling freedoms. Riders can partake in a weekly contest related to these issues and win prizes. Each week’s Freedom Friday photo contest asks AMA members to send a photo of themselves, preferably with their bike, near a symbol of the current topic. The issue that kicks off today is access discrimination, which can be illustrated with a photo of a “No Motorcycles Allowed” sign, “Wilderness” sign or anything related to freedom to illustrate their concern as a motorcyclist.
2012 Triumph Daytona 675 Revealed; Graphics Both Bolder and Newer
Thu, 01 Sep 2011Triumph revealed the 2012 edition of its Daytona 675 supersport, featuring a few cosmetic changes from the 2011 model. For 2012, the Triumph Daytona675 will be available in Phantom Black or Diablo Red. Cosmetic updates include new decals, updated Triumph script on the fuel tank, and a jet black bellypan similar to the Daytona 675R unveiled earlier this year.
