Triumph Other tech info
Triumph Other description
2010 Triumph Thruxton, Certified by Service - THRUXTON The café racer. Reinvented. Named after the famous racetrack where Triumph ruled the roost. Inspired by the Ton Up Boys of the 1960s. The Thruxton is Triumph’s sportiest Modern Classic, and authentic café racer delivering a unique Triumph experience. Low rise bars, a sporting riding position, 18-inch spoked wheels, megaphone style exhaust and a race-inspired stripe from tank to tail evoke memories of the Ace Café, racing in the streets, but underneath the engineering is pure 21st century, with a clean-running fuel injected 865 cubic-centimeter parallel twin engine tuned for more performance and modern day reliability. The chassis too brings modern handling and braking thanks to adjustable 41-millimeter forks and a 320-millimeter floating front disc brake gripped by a twin-piston caliper. It’s a motorcycle to stir the hearts of those who remember it first time around and for young riders looking for that authentic retro experience that only Triumph can deliver.

First Look: Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support
Tue, 02 Nov 2010I'm predominantly a road rider, so I haven't had much to do with neck braces, until now. I'm heading on the launch of the new Triumph Tiger 800 and there will be a session of light off-roading so I thought this would be a chance to try the Alpinestars Bionic Neck Support, mainly to see what it was like for day-to-day use. I hope I don't crash hard enough to test its protection qualities and I don't expect to be clearing any table tops either, but I'm curious to know how I get on with the BNS and whether it feels claustrophobic.
Sulfur Yellow Triumph Daytona 675 Highlights New 2012 Colors
Tue, 15 May 2012Triumph announced a number of new paint schemes for several of its models. While the new options are for the most part merely cosmetic, the lone exception is the new sulfur yellow 2012 Triumph Daytona 675. We’re not quite sure it’s good marketing for a color scheme that reminds you of the smell of rotten eggs, but the sulfur yellow Daytona 675 also sports a number of upgrades.
Triumph to Sponsor Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy
Wed, 18 Apr 2012Triumph Motorcycles has signed a sponsorship agreement with Jason DiSalvo‘s riding school. The 2011 Daytona 200 winner rides a Triumph Daytona 675R for the Latus Motors AMA Daytona Sportbike team so it’s no surprise the British manufacturer is sponsoring the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy. DiSalvo also raced for Triumph-backed BE1 World Supersport team, and though he left the team on rather murky terms, DiSalvo and Triumph enjoy a strong working relationship.
