The Thruxton is Triumph’s sportiest Modern Classic, and authentic café racer delivering a unique Triumph experience. Low rise bars, a sporting riding position, 18-inch spoked wheels, megaphone style exhaust and a race-inspired stripe from tank to tail evoke memories of the Ace Café, racing in the streets, but underneath the engineering is pure 21st century, with a clean-running fuel injected 865 cubic-centimeter parallel twin engine tuned for more performance and modern day reliability. The chassis too brings modern handling and braking thanks to adjustable 41-millimeter forks and a 320-millimeter floating front disc brake gripped by a twin-piston caliper. It’s a motorcycle to stir the hearts of those who remember it first time around and for young riders looking for that authentic retro experience that only Triumph can deliver.

Michelin Unveils New Tire for Dual Sport Motorcycles
Wed, 06 Feb 2013More than half of the new BMW R 1200 GSs that roll off the assembly line in 2013 will be fitted with Michelin’s new big trail tire, the Anakee III. BMW and Michelin worked together to co-develop the dual-sport tire, which is designed to deliver all the safety and off road capability big trail motorcycle users demand. The Anakee III will also be available as a replacement option for other leading dual sport bikes, like the Suzuki V-Strom, Kawasaki KLR, Triumph Tiger and Yamaha Super Tenere.

Fri, 03 Aug 2012So yesterday I was threading my way through London on Triumph's Tiger Explorer 1200 with panniers. Quite a wide load. Up ahead, I see a police biker and reckon on him being able to part the traffic enough for me to have an easier run down by the river.

Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage Originally revealed in CARB documents as the America Horizon, the Triumph America LT adds a deattachable windscreen, pillion backrest and leather saddlebags to turn the midsized America into a serviceable light tourer. The America LT is powered by the same air-cooled 865cc parallel-Twin with a 270-degree firing interval as the regular America and the Speedmaster cruisers. Performance numbers are the same, with Triumph claiming 60 hp at 6800 rpm and 53 ft-lb.
